Congratulations to Gina Martinez and her APHA gelding, Skipper Lee Splash, who earned their first APHA Cattle Points! 

Gina purchased the now eight year old gelding a few years ago and found him to be quite a challenge.  Gina has been through a lot with this gelding but along with determination, hard work, understanding and great riding skills has turned a horse no one thought could be a well mannered show horse into a competitive horse who wins.

Gina and Splash also won Eastern Nevada PHC 2002 Champion Novice Amateur and Skipper Lee Splash is 2002 Eastern Nevada PHC Champion Sr. Performance Gelding.   He picked up a list of awards for 2002 SSPHC and Nevada State Awards.    Gina came home with belt buckles, blankets, hoods and jackets to prove her success!

Gina is proving that you don't always have to own the most expensive horse to accomplish your goals.  You have to have faith in your horse and yourself!
